Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Habitbi is a personal habit-tracking application. This policy describes what data we collect, what we use it for, and how you can control it.

2. Data we collect

• Account: email and name associated with your sign-in (Firebase Authentication, email/password or Google).
• App usage data: the habits you create and the daily logs you record (checkbox, number, option or time), stored in Firestore, isolated per user.
• Google Calendar/Tasks sync data (optional): if you enable the integration, we create and update calendar events corresponding to your habits and time sessions. We store an access/refresh token in server-side storage with no client access, solely to keep the sync active.
• Minimal technical data: the data needed for the PWA to work (local cache, preferences like light/dark theme).

3. What we DON'T do

• We don't sell or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.
• We don't read your Google Calendar content beyond the events the app itself creates and manages.
• We don't show ads inside the application.

4. Use of Google APIs

Habitbi's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to theGoogle API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Access to Google Calendar/Tasks is requested with minimal permissions (create/edit events and tasks created by the app itself) and you can revoke it at any time from Habitbi's Calendar section or fromyour Google account settings.

5. Where data is stored, and who we share it with

Your data is stored securely on Google Cloud infrastructure, with access restricted so each user can only reach their own data. Google sync tokens are kept in private storage that the app has no direct client-side access to. We don't share your data with any third parties beyond the providers necessary to run the service: our cloud infrastructure (hosting, authentication and database) and, if you enable syncing, the Google Calendar/Tasks API with your own Google account. These providers act as data processors and don't use your data for their own or advertising purposes.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep your habits and logs for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (see section 9), your data is permanently deleted, except where the law requires us to retain it for a limited period (e.g. billing records).

7. Children's privacy

Habitbi is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, write tocontact@habitbi.com so we can delete it.

8. Subscriptions and payments

Google Calendar sync usage (billed based on consumption) and the optional monthly support subscription are processed through an external payment provider; Habitbi does not store card numbers or banking data.

9. Your rights: access, export, or delete your data

You can request access to your data, an exportable copy, or full deletion of your account and all your data by writing to contact@habitbi.com. We respond to these requests within a reasonable time, and in any case within 30 days.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Relevant changes will be reflected on this same page along with the last-updated date.
